About Me

Hi! My name is Emilie Dale, and I am a detail-oriented communications and marketing high school student with a passion for sports photography. I have honed my skills through hands-on experience as the team lead for both boys' tennis and girls' swim and dive. I creating engaging content, managing social media accounts, building team morale, and photographing and filming events. Through these roles, I’ve had the opportunity to reach over 170,000 views over the tennis season and develop a strong understanding of digital media, branding, and public relations. Alongside my work in sports, I have also gained valuable experience in marketing and PR through internships and leadership roles, including my position as Vice President of Communications in DECA. I’m proficient in Adobe Suite, Final Cut Pro, and photography/videography tools. I’m excited to continue using my skills to tell impactful stories and contribute to the success of the brands and teams.

Photography unexpectedly found its way into my life at the beginning of my junior year when I started in journalism. At the same time, I was taking a college marketing class, and I began noticing the overlap between the two. My adviser then introduced me to a new class—public relations—that had just started with only 10 students. I decided to join, and the class quickly grew in the following semesters. By my senior year, sports photography and PR became my focus as I sought more experience in public relations. I started as a lead and quickly took off from there. In just 3 ½ semesters, the program has grown to over 70 students, and I’ve had the privilege of being part of its growth, change, and development, excelling at every challenge that came my way. Outside of photography, I enjoy snowboarding, cooking, and spending time with friends. My favorite dish to make and eat is homemade fettuccine Alfredo. I have an diverse taste in music but tend to gravitate toward whatever’s popular. I’ll be attending college next year to continue pursuing my passion for public relations and media.
